Waking Nights Support Worker (Temp to Perm)
Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Temporary to permanent
Hourly Rate: Starting at £11.50 per hour
Shift patterns: 830pm to 830am - working full time 37.5 hours per week over a 3-week rolling rota system or pro rata.
Your new organisation is a dedicated learning disabilities provider based in Northampton. They support people from 18 years of age with varied learning disabilities diagnoses, offering residential care and respite support. They are recognised for providing person-centred care and support.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users during the night. Your responsibilities will include:
" Providing support that positively impacts the health and well-being of the individuals you support.
" Implementing and contributing to support plans.
" Assisting with personal care, tenancy support, health needs (including medication), personal development, emotional well-being, and community inclusion.
Essential Skills and Attributes
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:
" Empathy and patience.
" Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
" Willingness to engage in continuous development and learning.
" Proven experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours
" Level 2 or 3 in health and social care or the commitment and ability to secure this within a specified time frame once within the role.
" The ability to join on a temporary basis and commit to a permanent contract after a set time frame.
