Salary: £40,000 - £47,500 per annum
Our client, a growing and leading business, currently has an opportunity for a Commercial Officer. With a growing commercial department, they offer fantastic development and progression opportunities for commercial professionals. The role holder will have the opportunity to lead the commercial negotiation of new business with both new and existing clients.
The Role:
1. Identify the risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
2. Reviewing, drafting, updating and maintaining contract documents.
3. Monitoring and reporting performance and compliance against contractual obligations including commercial performance, financial management and contract management.
4. Monitoring customer satisfaction.
5. Working with the contract delivery teams to ensure that the management of change request process and change implementation is carried out in line with the contracts.
6. Reporting on progress of change requests and projects.
7. Reviewing contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk.
8. Preventing and resolving contractual disputes.
9. Assuring adherence to Group Commercial Policy.
10. Supporting the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship.
11. Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team.
The Person:
1. Experience of working in a pre-contract signature environment.
2. Experience of working closely with finance, operations and technical specialists.
3. Sector experience is not essential.
4. Experience of negotiation with customers.
5. Good on both the legals and financials.
