Through the Welsh Gateway of History. Onto the Greens of Legends.
From the moment you turn down the drive and walk through the 16th century gatehouse you’ll be part of our momentous history. Where Legends and Legacy meet. St Pierre’s tale since 1065 has ties to King Henry V, the crown jewels and J K Rowling, this former Manor House has a deep-rooted history waiting to be discovered.
Together with a warm Welsh welcome and stunning Wye Valley setting, Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club is the perfect place to start and develop your hospitality skills and build your career with the number 1 Leader in Hospitality Worldwide.
St. Pierre's Old Course is one of the best parkland layouts in the country, and is a recognised tournament host, having welcomed the top LPGA professionals for the Solheim Cup in 1996. The course has matured nicely into a genuine challenge for even the best golfers, with some particularly memorable holes. A round on the old reaches a crescendo with the superb closing two, where golfers must negotiate the 17th green, almost surrounded by an expansive water hazard, and the final hole's difficult elevated green.
Our Mathern Course, although considerably shorter than the Old, is an extremely enjoyable layout. It is parkland in style, but players must also tackle the mature trees that provide obstacles on many holes. Opened in 1975, the Mathern continues to delight visitors with some very good golf, and even better views of the surrounding Monmouthshire countryside.
The impact you’ll make
When a golfer walks into the golf shop, you are setting the mood for the game ahead. A warm welcome, a few hints and tips on the hidden challenges the course brings and they have a great game ahead.
