Job Overview This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapy technical instructor. This post is based at Glan Clwyd Hospital working a 50:50 split with the respiratory and pulmonary rehabilitation teams. You will work along side qualified physiotherapists and also have your own designated case load where you will deliver and progress therapeutic treatment programmes. Working with the respiratory team involves working with medical inpatients at Glan Clwyd Hospital and when working with the pulmonary rehab team you will assist in delivering the pulmonary rehabilitation programmes within the community. There is a requirement for the successful applicant to be able to work afternoons to assist in the delivery of the pulmonary rehabilitation programme. At times there may be a requirement to support other physiotherapy teams on the Glan Clwyd site. Previous experience working as a physiotherapy technical instructor would be desirable. Main duties of the job To assist the qualified physiotherapist in the overall physiotherapy management of patients in collaboration with carers, support workers, health staff and agencies. Under the direction and guidance of the qualified physiotherapist, to manage and be responsible for their own clinical caseload of clients, following therapeutic programmes in order to improve their physical abilities and to minimise disabilities. To work independently using own initiative, within level of competence. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
