REED Practice are proud to be working with a dynamic and growing firm in the accounting, audit, and payroll industry, based in Derby. They are currently in expansion and are looking to add a new Senior Client Manager to some of their portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the daily management of the client services team, ensuring a balanced workload and efficient workflow.
2. Act as the first point of contact for technical support and internal queries from Client Managers, providing feedback to support their development.
3. Assist in the training and development of Client Managers and other junior staff members, providing mentorship and support.
4. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
5. Manage relationships with key clients, handling escalated queries and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
6. Support the Associate Partner in maintaining and growing client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services and advisory work.
7. Oversee the scheduling and management of client work to ensure timely completion and adherence to statutory deadlines.
8. Prepare management accounts for larger clients up to the review stage, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
9. Review VAT returns and other compliance work prepared by Client Managers, providing feedback and ensuring quality standards are met.
10. Support the Associate Partner in reviewing annual accounts and identifying areas for improvement or advisory opportunities.
Skills & Attributes:
1. Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified preferable.
2. Experience: Some experience in a client management or similar role within an accountancy practice.
3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax, and VAT compliance as well as proficiency in cloud accounting software.
4. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage workflow, and meet deadlines.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
