Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our innovative electrical team in either Cork or Dublin, Ireland, or Birmingham or Manchester, UK.
In this role, you will guide and expand a talented team of electrical engineers and designers dedicated to creating life-changing facilities. Mentorship is a key component of this position, as you will develop and retain this talented team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Team Development: Lead a small team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the team’s professional development.
* Project Management: Oversee the entire design process, act as a technical expert, and collaborate with Project Managers to define project scope, budget, and staffing needs.
* Planning & Scheduling: Forecast work 12-16 weeks ahead, develop construction schedules, and manage resource allocation for multiple projects.
* Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards in design and production, ensuring all work meets company quality standards.
* Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction through regular communication and high-quality project delivery.
* Technical Expertise: Research design options, write electrical design scopes, prepare engineering studies, and create detailed schematic designs.
* Compliance & Coordination: Ensure designs meet local codes and standards, estimate project costs, review contractor applications, and coordinate documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
* Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer aided drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
* Experience with design of building electrical systems, such as: building service, power distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm, security and other low voltage systems.
* Has a strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, IBC and other related building codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
* 10 years of experience in electrical design.
* Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Nutraceutical or Life Science industry experience.
* Experience with medium voltage systems, electrical hazardous classified areas, and telecommunications systems.
