Senior Project Planner - Power - Renewables – Aberdeen
We are currently partnering with a multi-disciplinary engineering services contractor specialising in Pharmaceuticals, Data Centres, Power Transmission and distribution. Due to their continued success they are seeking a Senior Project Planner to aid the growth of their renewables division.
Responsibilities
* Project Scheduling and Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones, critical paths, resource allocation, and deliverables for renewable energy projects.
* Stakeholder Management and Reporting: Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates, and ensuring that all parties are aligned with project timelines and expectations.
* Risk and Resource Management: Identify potential risks to project schedules and resources, developing strategies to mitigate those risks and ensuring that the project remains on track.
* Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Provide recommendations for cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.
* Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that the project complies with local, national, and international regulations, environmental standards, and safety codes, including preparing required reports and documentation for permitting.
Requirements
* 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying or strong trades background coupled with technical ability may be considered
* 5+ years’ experience / demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work
* Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information
