An exciting opportunity has arisen for a significantly experienced, highly motivated and dynamic person to work within NHS Western Isles as a Senior Charge Nurse to lead the Barra Nursing Team.
The successful applicant will provide overall clinical, professional leadership and operational management to the team and be integral in developing the Barra Nursing model.
We seek an enthusiastic, nurse leader with excellent interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills who can demonstrate a breath of knowledge and experience in this area of practice, as detailed in the Scottish Government Transferring Roles Paper 3.
A sound knowledge and evidence of effective individual staff management and good team leading skills are essential. The post holder will be a clinically visible leader who works closely with the wider nursing and multidisciplinary team to ensure that the delivery of effective and appropriate care is provided to the population within their geographical area including care of patients at home, care homes and CTAC centres.
They will report to the Lead Community Nurse to ensure that Nursing services are delivered effectively and efficiently against pre-determined clinical and service development targets in line with national and local board delivery plans, policies and agendas.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
