Job Specification: Electrical Contracts Manager and Qualifying Supervisor (QS) Role : Electrical Contracts Manager and QS Location : East London Salary : Competitive (£60,000 - £65,000 per annum, Car allowance, Bonus Scheme About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager and Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to lead and oversee all aspects of electrical contracts from pre-start to completion. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact between project managers, site supervisors, and field engineers, ensuring efficient and high-quality project delivery. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact between the Project Manager, site supervisors, and field engineers. Oversee the financial performance and reporting of all projects. Coordinate and control works from the design stage through to project completion and handover. Manage daily operations on-site, ensuring projects meet timelines and quality standards. Programme and manage all works, including variations or delays, and notify clients as necessary. Collaborate with other management team members to ensure adequate labour and subcontractor resources. Plan and organise suitable labour to meet project requirements. Oversee materials and deliveries to ensure timely alignment with project specifications. Manage and motivate site staff, including supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring engagement and adherence to targets. Ensure workmanship and materials comply with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and company policies. Ensure site teams and subcontractors adhere to company policies and procedures. Plan and attend weekly review meetings with clients, supervisors, and engineers. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Oversee RAMS, toolbox talks, and ensure proper documentation is recorded. Oversee verification of inspection and test results to prevent commercial delays and potential claims. Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, ensuring efficient management of contracts. Manage contracts from pre-start to completion and submission of O&M manuals. Stay updated with new regulations, including BS7671, BS5839, and BS5266. Serve as the Qualifying Supervisor for the company's electrical division, participating in annual NICEIC assessments as required. Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety regulations. Minimum Qualifications Required NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation. City & Guilds 18th Edition. Inspection and Testing (2391/2 or equivalent). Proven experience in fault finding and testing/inspection. Experience in maintenance, social housing, domestic, and commercial sectors, including fire alarms and emergency lighting. Skills and Experience Required Highly organised and self-motivated. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure. Effective workload management and prioritisation. Strong communication skills with people at all levels. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Minimum 7 years of electrical experience. At least 3 years of contract/project management experience or equivalent. Strong commercial understanding. Solid health and safety knowledge. Valid driving license. Previous experience as a main NICEIC QS. Package Available Competitive salary (£60,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience).
