About the job.
We're looking for a Police Engagement Officer to join our Network Claims team in Business Services. You'll create strong relationships with Police forces and other public bodies as well as internal stakeholders to obtain culprit information to enable National Highways to trace drivers that cause damage to the network and furthermore establish liability and pursue recovery.
This will require working across regions and multiple agencies, forging strong collaborative working relationships to influence information sharing.
* Create opportunities to develop relationships with regional police forces to share information to identify drivers that may be responsible to damage to the SRN.
* Ensure GDPR and other relevant data legislation is complied with to protect sensitive and personal information.
* Work closely with Network Claims teams to share relevant information to enable them to progress claims.
* Be an open and courteous point of contact, fielding queries and offering advice to the wider business as and when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records following investigations to ensure claims handlers have visibility of data obtained.

* Experience of dealing with and investigating road traffic collisions
* Proven stakeholder management skills and building of effective relationships with both internal and external customers/colleagues.
* Excellent time management and good communication skills.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
