Job Title: Business Manager - ASRAAM
Salary: circa £75,000 - £80,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
The opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen to join the ASRAAM management team as the team Business Manager. You will report into the ASRAAM Sector Head to lead the business team. This role will provide a very diverse experience of winning business, contract delivery across UK and export contracts.
You will:
1. Represent the Head of Programme on business matters.
2. Lead and set objectives for the project Business Team coordinating Commercial, Finance, MEP, ECM, B&PM and PMO.
3. Support the Head of Programme with the development and delivery of the business strategy for the product interfacing with the Product Line Owner.
4. In conjunction with the Head of Programme manage the customer relationship for domestic contracts and via Export Contract Manager for export contracts.
5. Ensure the contractual delivery on all project export and domestic contracts.
6. Manage the project business response to Sales & Business Development for bids and business cases.
7. Provide Business and Project Management expertise to the overall Project team coordinating deployment of Business Team as needed.
8. Work with the Group Head of Business to ensure consistency in business delivery and maintain alignment on business cycles.
9. Work with functional leads to ensure the workload needs of the Business Team are known and addressed.
10. Maintain a topical resource plan.
11. Drive Business Improvement within the programme.
12. Oversee the delivery of the core business and project management activities including but not limited to managing budgets, change control, risk and opportunities, workload and estimate at completions.
13. Work with Chief Engineer(s) and Programme Managers to balance time, cost and performance trades.
14. Assess progress and performance against all contracts and manage the reporting for the Programme area.
15. Ensure delegated authorities are clear and maintained across the operation of the Programme.
16. In conjunction with the other stakeholders maintain a view of the scope and sizing of the current and future industrial base needed to deliver the product line.
17. Ensure that the planning is in place to manage the future critical business needs of the Programme including for example strategic changes to contracting.
