Your newpanyA hugely reputable construction contractor based in Hull who has a strong pipeline of work is looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team. My client works across a range of sectors but mainly projects ranging in value from £100k - £5m.
Your new roleYour new role as a Quantity Surveyor for this business would be to oversee the day to day running of projects, which could include multiple smaller value projects.Job duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Client Interaction: Meeting with clients to understand their needs and discussing any areas that require revision for price or feasibility.
2. Contract Negotiation: Negotiating labour contracts and schedules.
3. Subcontractor Management: Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress, and material needs, including any changes that may impact costs.
4. Financial Reporting: Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment.
5. Progress Updates: Writing reports detailing costs and project progress for clients.
What you'll need to succeedYou will need a strong background as a Quantity Surveyor with a range of values and intricacies. You will have good management skills, and be able to build lasting relationships with stakeholders of all levels.
