Entry Requirements
Two GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English and Mathematics or a relevant Entry Level qualification.
Modules
The one-year programme includes 10 foundation units including Getting People Active, Keeping Active and Healthy, Playing Sport, Coaching Skills in Sport, and Working with Others.
Assessment
The vocational diploma is assessed via coursework where you will create a portfolio of evidence to show your practical application of the units.
You may choose to progress to a Level 2 Diploma in Gym Instruction or Leading Children’s Sports Activities.
Equipment Needed
Students will need appropriate sportswear which can be purchased from College on enrolment.
Work-related trips and visits and weekly sports enrichment learning various sports. If you are performing in sport at a high level, we also have opportunities such as our Sports Academies and Elite Athlete Programme.
