To work as part of Team Coordinator taking a lead role in providing secretarial and administrative support for the Children's Physio and Occupational Therapy Services particular responsibility for the team, including clinic management and waiting list prioritisation
The post holder will be required to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising their workload and in making decisions and taking action in accordance with departmental policy.
To type all correspondence relating to out patients and in patients, including typing of departmental correspondence, with a low rate of errors and to meet Trust turnaround targets.
Regularly liaising with the manager to ensure departmental priorities are met.
Managing consultant’s diaries, booking meetings and taking minutes where appropriate.
Arrange patients new and follow up appointments as required using PAS system and liaison with appropriate departments
Receive enquires from patients and staff, resolving enquiries of a more complex nature and dealing with as appropriate.
Liaise professionally with all departments regarding admissions, waiting lists, ad hoc ward attenders and cancellations ensuring hospital policies are adhered to.
To provide cross cover for secretarial team during annual leave and sickness
Co-operate with the introduction of new procedures, policies or technology, including any technology associated with the Patient Administration System (PAS), assisting team leads with implementation
