Head Of Quality Overview:- To lead, manage and provide hands-on support to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the company’s Quality Department. Overall management of the Quality Team. Reporting results and performance to Management. Ensuring customers are provided with the highest levels of quality support, liaising with key stakeholders including suppliers, internal colleagues and external bodies. Responsibility to ensure company compliance with key industry accreditations through annual audits. Promoting a quality culture throughout the business. Job Role of Head Of Quality:- To lead and manage a highly effective Quality Department interacting with all areas of the business. Line management of Quality Engineers and Quality Control personnel, supporting and mentoring, utilising personal performance and development plans, and controlling individual remunerations. To manage and continuously develop the Company’s Quality Management System, with ultimate responsibility for the successful annual external audit process to maintain ISO9001:2015, ISO13485 and ISO14001 certifications. To promote a quality culture across the company and ensure best practice quality systems and processes are implemented throughout, in accordance with the Quality Management System, and set appropriate KPI’s. To provide active support for Environmental, Social and Governance activities within the company focusing on achieving external approval targets (currently utilising EcoVadis ). Ensure company activities are communicated to customers, and that suppliers are challenged for continuous improvement and reporting. To strive for the highest level of product quality standards utilising industry recognized processes and techniques common within automotive and medical sectors, ensuring internal understanding, supplier compliance and that customer expectations are achieved. Examples include PPAP, PPM, IQ-OQ-PQ To maintain effective relationships with strategic suppliers to continuously develop product and process standards, challenging when appropriate, ensure supplier audits are performed effectively, and represent the quality department in developing new strategic suppliers. Active participation within supplier development meetings. To ensure the proactive and professional engagement of the quality department with customers on quality matters relating to systems, processes and products. To ensure customer NCR’s are prioritised effectively within the quality department, and provide leadership, management and hands-on-support in delivering the highest levels of service and effective communication across internal departments. Act as a ‘Champion of Quality’ to customers and suppliers demonstrating the company’s abilities and commitment to quality. To support and assist with special projects as required to achieve company goals and objectives. To develop, maintain and update all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient quality management within the company. To provide guidance to ensure that the company's quality commitments are met. Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on quality initiatives.
