A great opportunity for a Stock Controller / Merchandiser to join a market leading textile business in the Greater Manchester office. They design and produce textiles for the bedroom, living room, etc. They have a great reputation in the industry with several long service employees. They are also a SEDEX AB member and take sustainability seriously, having their own responsible cotton sourcing policy.
Description
You, the Stock Controller, will assist with forward planning stocks for multiple customers:
1. Analysis of weekly/monthly/yearly sales to identify trends.
2. Working with Key Account Execs/Managers to ensure their customer forecast/requirements are met.
3. Distributing stocks efficiently between forecast channels to ensure all customers' requirements are met.
4. Keeping forecast channels on the internal system accurate and up to date.
5. Working with the stock team: checking and reviewing lines which have flagged as exceeding forecast quantities, analysing and decision making to release stock to fulfil or not.
6. Co-ordinating stock orders for promotions with internal departments.
7. Monitoring and reporting on underperformance and clearance.
8. Raising Factory orders and collaborating with them to manage minimums/dyed fabric/Greige.
9. Consulting with overseas factories to ensure purchase orders are manufactured within the agreed lead-time.
10. Maintaining accurate lead times and minimums from factories.
11. Working closely with the shipping department & warehouse to optimise container fills and deliveries into our warehouse.
12. Working closely with the warehouse to optimise correct stock in the correct location.
13. Assisting the stock team with new lines using current/historical sales data/ratios to plan buys for new product ranges.
14. Keeping track of forward sales orders.
15. Planning rebuys based on forward sales orders.
16. Working closely with the Product team to review the weekly Critical Path to ensure new season launch dates are met.
17. Assisting the stock team with reports: Month End Sales reports, issuing Weekly Delivery schedules, Out of stock lines updates, highlighting slow moving or aged stock, and on-demand reports for Managers/Directors.
18. Assisting the stock team in Month End Commercial Meetings: meeting with senior management to review SKU/design performance, analysing stock turn, and identifying overstock/understock and good/bad sellers.
