Understand the entire programme and the associated timelines and develop detailed project plans to deliver the required outcomes for agreed area/s of scope. Lead and manage neonatal programme, ensuring all relevant stakeholders have effective opportunities to discuss, influence and contribute to the development of joint plans. Support the Team and Senior Responsible Owner for the programme to deliver the outcomes envisaged for the Maternity and neonatal transformation programme. The post holder will engage with Maternity Voices Partnerships and neonatal parent voice, patient groups and other stakeholders to ensure that activities to deliver the neonatal programme are coproduced and responsive to the needs of service users.
Operate effectively in a flexible demanding specialised neonatal environment and proactively engage with NHS staff. Proactively monitor, evaluate and report neonatal programme progress, identifying and escalating risks, issues, resources and process gaps, taking corrective and mitigating action as necessary. Provide and receive complex, sensitive and contentious information, presenting information to a range of stakeholders in a formal setting. Apply a whole system approach whilst developing, maintaining and providing specialist expert knowledge and expertise with subject matter experts and other stakeholders from all levels across the organisation.
Maintain work programme plans, track activities against the plan, complete assigned tasks to the expected quality, timeframe, and where appropriate, within budget. Manage frequently tight timeframes to ensure project tasks are completed on time. Provide regular and accurate progress reports, both verbal and written. Manage additional project activities as identified by the Team. Facilitate cross-team working and optimal workstream performance, liaising effectively with all other functions within the wider ICS. Sustain key relationships and maintain networks internally and externally, including national LMNS Neonatal lead networks. Work closely with Quality and Safety Lead Midwife to help support implementation and assurance of national targets for example; CNST requirements and SBL.
General: Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibility and scale of the post.
