Drive a positive health, wellbeing and belonging culture at the heart of electricity transmission

If so, our Health, Wellbeing and Belonging Manager role might be for you.
You’ll play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring a dedicated team to provide subject matter expertise on all health and wellbeing matters and activities across National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), fostering a culture of belonging. Your primary focus will be the development and implementation of NGET’s health and wellbeing strategies using the lens of diversity, equality and inclusion to build on our current position.
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing our Thrive Together Strategy and improving our overall health maturity as an organisation and be responsible for ensuring that all aspects associated with regulatory compliance and best practice are met.
Providing expert advice, you’ll present performance information to allow decision-making, to the NG Electricity Transmission Executive.
With the opportunity to motivate and energise leaders throughout NGET, you’ll empower them to take full accountability for health and wellbeing leadership within their respective areas of the business.
We’re flexible on where you’re based but there will be the need to travel to our offices in Warwick and operational sites.
What you'll need
Suitable technical/professional qualification and experience such as Degree, HNC or equivalent experience in Clinical, Physical, Psychological or Occupational Health plus a NEBOSH certificate in the Management of Health and Wellbeing or Health and Safety at Work. You will need experience of diversity and equality and how this affects health and wellbeing in the workplace, with knowledge and understanding of the application of UK health and wellbeing legislation, and DEI legislation and best practice.
Relevant industry experience and an appreciation of National Grid's wider business operations would be advantageous.
You’ll have effective people management skills, coupled with the ability to develop a high performing team, and be passionate about safety, health, and wellbeing with high levels of enthusiasm and drive to achieve results.
The ability to interpret large and complex data sets from varying sources to determine realised and emerging risks is essential as are excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate articulately.
Passionate about good customer service and improved productivity, you’ll be able to demonstrate sound constructive decision-making, resilience, with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues.
With the ability to think of innovative new ways in which to engage the business in health and wellbeing, you’ll be able to influence by matrix and lead by example. A full driving licence is also required.
