About the Arden Enterprise Incubator:
The Arden Enterprise Incubator (AEI) is a key feature of the Faculty of Business and Innovation’s strategic focus on enterprise and innovation. The AEI has been established to help participants nurture an entrepreneurial mindset, innovate, and grow their business. It provides professional mentoring and coaching sessions by successful business entrepreneurs who guide students through the challenges of business start-up and growth.
The Role – Senior Lecturer and Enterprise Incubator Lead
The Senior Lecturer will lead, develop and monitor resources and events ensuring high levels of engagement with the AEI and positive outcomes for students. In addition, the role requires the Senior Lecturer to contribute to teaching and learning in an area of specialism within the Faculty of Business and Innovation. Core responsibilities include:
1. Developing and delivering the AEI strategy to grow its impact across Arden University.
2. Facilitating events and guest speakers that enhance the profile and impact of the AEI.
3. Management of Student Enterprise Champions.
4. Planning, designing and delivering bootcamps or facilitating others in their delivery of them.
5. Leading face-to-face and virtual induction days to the AEI for staff, students and alumni.
6. Running special interest groups, with a focus on enterprise, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
7. Running or supporting seminars, mini-conferences, theme weeks, and other ad-hoc APD activities.
8. Writing bids for funding into the AEI.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need: (see JD for full list)
* Master’s level qualification in a subject related to a core discipline in the Faculty of Business & Innovation.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or willing to achieve the status through Arden’s Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Education in Practice (within 12 months).
* Ability to design resources and events and to plan, organise and deliver bootcamps.
* Writing high-quality analytical reports and blogs.
* Excellent breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in technology-enhanced learning.
* Business development skills.
* Experience of planning events.
* Ability to write funding bids.
* Experience of enhancing student/alumni satisfaction and outcomes; experience of analysing associated data and formulating sound actions.
