The post offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of operational issues within the surgery division. These will include:
1. Operational and strategic responsibility for pathway management and delivery of performance targets for all specialties within the clinical division, including waiting list management, cancer standards, workforce and finance.
2. Playing a major role in the improvement of the operational service delivery in line with the strategic direction of the Trust, leading and working with clinical teams to embed project work and deliver required efficiency and quality improvements.
3. Responsibility for operational flow, capacity and demand management and ensuring pathways are optimised to support performance targets and financial targets.
4. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record within a management role that can demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills, with the ability to forge and maintain relationships. The ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on critical issues when decision making, is essential.
