We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Natural Resources team, within a commutable distance to Falmer. In this role you'll lead commercials on the mobilisation and ongoing operations of our new 7-year, c£1bn framework with Southern Water.
Location: Falmer, East Sussex up to 3 days a week

Responsibilities
We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our NRNN business unit. The successful candidate will work within a delegated level of authority and will have overall day to day commercial responsibility supporting the framework team in managing the commercial, procurement and financial aspects of Southern Water Strategic Delivery programme for AMP 8. This is a rare opportunity to mobilise projects across the Southern Water's areas.
Your day to day will include:
* Working closely with the wider Senior Leadership Team to advise on commercial strategy to ensure successful conversion of opportunities and profitability of work undertaken.
* Advising on commercial implication of any bid or delivery strategies ensuring full visibility on risk and reward opportunities.
* Seeking and implementing effective risk management and mitigation strategies to achieve targeted commercial outcomes.
* Managing a team of commercial staff across the region, identify talent, training needs, allocate resources, recruit and ensure development through PDR's.
* Empower excellent performance at all levels, ensuring that Kier Culture and principles are upheld and generally be an ambassador for the NRNN business.
What are we looking for?
This Commercial Manager is great for you if you have:
* A relevant Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and can demonstrate lengthy experience in a senior commercial capacity within a Tier 1 main contracting environment.
* Chartered Status in relevant professional body or appropriate professional qualification.
* Strong understanding of NEC, JCT conditions, arbitration and adjudication processes.
* Strong commercial reporting track record, ability to produce board level reports for the region accurately outlining the business commercial position, risks and opportunities.
* Experience in developing and implementing wider commercial strategies to drive work wining, business unit growth and profitability.
