Join us in this role where you’ll play a key role in coordinating safety-by-design deliverables for the Hornsea 3 and Hornsea 4 projects, and ensuring designs are according to our contractual agreements, standards, and UK legislation. Your attention will be on CDM compliance, assessing CDM competences, and making sure designers are fulfilling their roles in the project. You’ll collaborate with Project QHSE, HSE Design specialists and the Project Director to coordinate interfaces between product scopes such as our offshore and onshore substation, cables, wind turbines, and foundations. As the HSE Design and CDM Subject Matter Expert, you´ll assist in delivering tasks within your expertise.
Welcome to QHSE Design & Process Safety
You’ll be part of the QHSE Design & Process Safety team where you, together with your colleagues, will support the integration of safe design into our windfarms.
As a team, we are all committed towards the same goal of achieving inherent safe design through a positive approach that harnesses openness, cooperation and solution orientation. We support each other – also in our personal development.
You’ll play an important role in:
1. Creating the overview of HSE Design deliverables from the various product scopes into the project and working proactively to coordinate their deliveries.
2. Auditing design-related deliverables and advising in case of improvements.
3. Evaluating competency assessments of individuals and organizations to be appointed under CDM and providing recommendations to our project.
4. Organizing, chairing and capturing actions from Design interface forums with the principal designer and designers.
5. Contributing to the content of the project Health & Safety File.
6. Developing and running training for project team members on Design Risk Management processes and tools as well as on CDM.
To succeed in the role, you:
1. Have thorough knowledge and practical experience in applying design standards and UK legislations, with special focus on CDM 2015, Machinery Directive, or equivalent experience.
2. Are experienced in tools and processes used to address design risks (design risk assessments, hazid/hazop, bow-ties, other qualitative and quantitative assessments).
3. Are a true QHSE role model with a co-operative and solution-oriented mindset.
4. Thrive as a coordinator and are able to influence and mentor project team members to drive the safe-by-design agenda.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
