Apprenticeship Mentor
Salary: £27,915 to £29,460 per annum
Location: Engineering Centre
Hours and Weeks per Year: 37 per week / 52 weeks per year

You'll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers on full-time courses, apprenticeships, and short courses. We're already a successful college, but we're continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!
In the role of Apprenticeship Mentor, you will predominantly focus on providing pastoral support to the apprentices and effective coaching techniques. You will be supporting on a variety of course levels and apprenticeships across the Engineering and Motor Vehicle teams.
Your key responsibilities will be to provide effective coaching for students on an individual basis or in group settings to support their progression. The role also includes offering a range of holistic support to ensure a rounded approach to support for students and liaising closely with relevant staff in supporting students identified as at risk. You will enable and support students to overcome barriers to progress and success whilst ensuring students are safeguarded and provided appropriate follow-up support.
The successful candidate will create a positive environment by engaging learners and aim to help our students develop the ambition and confidence in their abilities as they prepare for their next step. Ideally, you'll have a subsequent qualification in counselling or education or the willingness to study these.
