Taylor Wimpey’s award winning programmes have consistently produced and developed top talent at a senior level in the organisation. The Future Talent Development Manager is responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the future talent ‘lifecycle’ strategy. Embedding the development, performance management and the subsequent successful transition of future talent into the business. Driving diversity, enhancing processes, refining recruitment channels and ensuring the future talent strategy is successfully fulfilling talent gaps in the organisation are just some of the key challenges this role will face. Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement a strategy for the successful line manager and divisional ownership of future talent Lead and manage future talent gap analysis in conjunction with HR Business Partners Review and enhance the development programme for management trainees and graduates Design robust assessment process to ensure future talent is job ready In conjunction with the HR Business Partners – bi-annually manage performance through a consistent competency framework Own and continuously improve placement programmes ensuring they are fit for purpose and a feasible feeder pool for future talent programmes Work closely with the Head of Talent and Resourcing to refine and embed the attraction and recruitment strategy for the graduate and management trainee programmes nationally. Improve the businesses network of relationships with key universities, schools and colleges, ensuring the organisation has better opportunities to engage with high calibre individuals and increase TW brand presence aligned to EVP. Manage the relationship with Schools Outreach external provider to provide an attractive strategy for local schools and colleges for the management trainee programme. Analyse and report on best routes to market for all pipelines providing clear ROI and metrics – e.g. cost per hire, time to hire and media source success. Management of External Training Providers: Oversee the management, negotiation, and performance of external providers, including both training and apprenticeship providers. Manage TW’s Levy Account Support the business with suitable entry talent pipelines that accommodate and complement UK education systems (English, Welsh and Scottish education systems). Ensure that there is a focus on improving Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) entry talent pipelines and report progress using key metrics and data analysis seeking to ensure continuous improvements in this area. Actively promote entry talent opportunities in conjunction with the social media team providing collateral Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements Experience and understanding of apprentice levy. Previous ownership of high-volume national recruitment campaigns for future talent. Experience refining and owning development programmes for graduates or other future talent initiatives. Proven experience building strategies to engage with schools and colleges for recruitment on a national basis. Previous role working in a matrix or decentralised structure. An understanding of the graduate learning cycle, with particular emphasis on enhancing the learning experience and encouraging the wider application of knowledge and skills.
