We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician role to join our team at HMP Lewes, a category B men's prison.
This site has both a pharmacy and dispenser with a really strong, integrated team of 6, and due to growth, we are looking for 6 more Technicians to make them a team of 12. This site offers fantastic opportunities for learning and development and career progression including ACPT training. Great opportunity for overtime which is paid at the bank rate. They are always happy to invite anyone in for a look around the department and a cup of tea!

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group, you will become an integral member of the pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team.
* Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgmental care within the scope of professional standards, including the timely administration of medicines and analysing cost-effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, partners, and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.
Hours
37.5 hours over 4 days, on a 2-weekly fixed rota. It includes 1 weekend in 2, and the team cannot work more than 6 days in one run.
Salary
You will receive an annual salary up to £33,454 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
Qualifications Required
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
