Position Purpose We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Risk Manager with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our team. The role will focus on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks to the organization, while ensuring the company's risk management policies align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The Risk Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen the overall risk management framework and support business growth while maintaining sound risk controls. Responsibilities Risk Identification & Assessment: Identify and assess financial, operational, regulatory, and strategic risks across the organization. Develop and maintain risk assessments, including risk registers, to track and mitigate key risks. Conduct regular reviews of risk exposure related to market conditions, new products, and operational activities. Risk Mitigation & Controls: Design and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring adequate controls are in place to reduce the company’s exposure to risk. Collaborate with various departments (e.g., finance, legal, IT, operations) to ensure appropriate risk controls and processes are embedded in day-to-day activities. Develop and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) to anticipate potential issues and mitigate them proactively. Risk Reporting: Prepare detailed risk reports for the risk committee, outlining key risks, mitigation strategies, and risk metrics. Provide regular updates on risk management activities and emerging risks. Communicate risk policies, procedures, and guidelines to stakeholders across the organization. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, including monitoring for updates and changes that could impact the company's risk profile. Work with legal and compliance teams to implement risk controls that meet regulatory requirements. Assist in managing audits and examinations by regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate responses to requests. Business Continuity & Crisis Management: Support the development and maintenance of the company’s business continuity and crisis management plans. Lead or participate in risk assessments and scenario planning exercises to ensure readiness for potential crises. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and risk management best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to risk management processes, systems, and tools to enhance the overall risk framework. Lead or participate in special projects aimed at improving risk culture and practices across the organization. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in risk management, preferably within the finance, technology, or digital assets industry. Strong knowledge of risk management principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Experience with risk assessment and control processes, including risk mitigation strategies and key risk indicator development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail. Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience Familiarity with blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and crypto regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, MiCA). Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or certifications related to blockchain and cryptocurrency (e.g., CBP, CFC) are a plus.
