Purpose of Role
VINCI Facilities is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our team, dedicated to the Defence Built Estate contract across the South-East. This role will be instrumental in delivering large scale refurbishment projects across military bases, barracks, and training facilities.
Job Description
As a Preconstruction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of multi-million refurbishment projects. You will oversee all preconstruction activities, ensuring meticulous planning, procurement, and resource allocation to enable successful project delivery. Engaging closely with defence clients, design teams, and subcontractors, you’ll ensure project requirements are met while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, your expertise will help drive excellence in project outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead the pre-construction process, including bid management, project planning, and design coordination.
* Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet technical, financial, and operational requirements.
* Ensure all pre-construction activities comply with defence sector regulations and VINCI Facilities’ commitment to excellence.
* Drive sustainable and cutting-edge approaches in project design and delivery.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the pre-construction phase.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* Proven track record in preconstruction, ideally within refurbishment or defence sectors.
* Strong understanding of construction disciplines, including M&E and civils.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* UK Driver’s License & happy to be vetted.
