Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for delivery of procurement exercises and providing overall support to the Procurement Team. What youll be doing: Deliver procurement exercises in line with the requirements of stakeholders and the Procurement Team forward plan, in line with UK public procurement legislation Administration of the e-procurement system, ProContract including development of Supplier Questionnaires, tender evaluations, award letters and other administration required within the procurement process Provide guidance on Great Places Procurement Procedures, ensuring that procurement is performed in a compliant manner Support Procurement Manager to deliver category strategies and category strategic plans Analysis and recording of supplier performance and spend Carry out research into specific markets to identify potential suppliers, trends and innovations Engage with key stakeholders and work collaboratively to ensure value for money from supplier arrangements Guiding staff on how to use internal e-systems, databases and procedures Act as an ambassador for the Procurement Team What youll need: Experience of utilising Microsoft Office Ability to complete tasks in an accurate, timely and industrious manner when working under pressure Attention to detail Effective liaison with stakeholders to find and give information in order to resolve problems Able to deliver a high standard of customer service Organisation and ability to time-manage work load The ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and oral skills What we need from you: A commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work.
