Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.

The School and Role
ABC Teachers is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a full-time or part-time basis across secondary schools in Saltley. These schools are known for their inclusive ethos, diverse student communities, and commitment to high academic standards. With a strong focus on student development and well-supported staff, this is a great opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience.
Responsibilities:
✅ Deliver pre-planned lessons and manage classroom behaviour
✅ Supervise students across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
✅ Encourage engagement and maintain a positive learning environment
✅ Work flexibly across different schools in the Saltley area
Requirements
The successful Cover Supervisor will have;
Previous experience in a classroom or education setting (preferred but not essential)
A confident and adaptable approach to working with students aged 11-16
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A passion for education and supporting young people
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
