Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Controller
We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Controller to join our Facilities Management and Real Estate team in Broughton, North Wales. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging working environment while driving high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support FMRE teams and service providers in implementing effective risk controls.
* Ensure compliance with regulations for new and existing plant and work equipment.
* Conduct EHS inspections and support formal record-keeping and action plans.
* Review contractor safety management systems through pre-qualification processes.
* Provide expert EHS advice for strategic projects, from feasibility to design.
* Implement compliance audits aligned with legal requirements (e.g., CDM Regulations 2015, Building Safety Act).
* Investigate work-related incidents and ensure effective corrective actions are taken.
* Promote a positive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and KPIs reporting.
Experience & Qualifications:
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) – minimum.
* Experience in Facilities Management (including construction and maintenance).
* Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and workplace safety standards.
* Proven ability to work with stakeholders to implement safety initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in formal risk assessments and auditing techniques.
* Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work autonomously with a positive approach.
* Membership of a professional health and safety body (e.g., IOSH) is desirable.
