Job Purpose About our Graduate Scheme A t the National Wealth Fund our graduate scheme will offer you a unique opportunity to join a growing organisation at the forefront of the government’s growth agenda, driving investment in the UK and delivering Net-Zero. We are looking for ambitious, results-oriented and talented individuals eager to make an impact to join our two-year programme. During your time at NWF, you will rotate a cross 4 functions working on projects and transactions in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the NWF’s core Banking and Investment functions while experiencing the diverse operations that drive and support our investments. You will gain first hand experience on: Participating in live investments across each rotation making contributions to committee papers, researching key deal information and joining in on deal negotiations. Supporting your team on external discussions with advisors, clients, investors and government departments through preparing documentation, research, spreadsheets, financial models and PowerPoint presentations. Devising and running your own mini-project over the course of the scheme – the project specifics will, to a large degree, be shaped by the successful candidates. Required Experience and Skills: Excellent analytical skills with sound numeracy skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and compellingly. Ability to develop productive working relationships. Excellent research skills and the ability to deliver high-quality output at pace. Having achieved or on track to achieve a 2:1 in a relevant degree related to NWF’s missio n such as Finance, Business, Economics or a STEM field. D esirable Experience and Skills: Knowledge or experience carrying out analysis related to climate change and/or regional and local economic growth. Knowledge or experience of corporate finance / investment environment. Knowledge or experience of net-zero principles and sustainable finance. Interest in government policy and a familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
