Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with this award-winning Contractor in recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join the team.
Based in Cheshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to join this National Construction Contractor to drive H&S strategies and operations across the business.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be primarily to drive H&S standards, strategies and procedures across the business, and drive a collaborative safety culture. You'll be supporting the project teams with guidance and the processes required to maximize H&S across their sites.
You'll have full responsibility for carrying out H&S plans, RAMS (in conjunction with site teams), site audits and inspections. You'll drive environmental practices across the company, with an ethos of application and improvement in line with the overall business's environmental objectives.
You'll have a strong background in driving the highest standards of H&S within a Construction environment, and will ideally have experience in working for a Principal Contractor. You must be able to build rapport with site project teams, so you must be a strong communicator, have excellent leadership skills, and be successful at driving H&S strategies, policies, and procedures across live sites.
Minimum requirements include extensive experience working for a Main Contractor in a H&S Management role. You will have NEBOSH certification and a working practice of Environmental standards, or ideally be working towards an Environmental qualification.
