My client, a British manufacturer of iconic vehicles, is putting together a team of vehicle build technicians due to growth, and has places available for talented graduates and trainees. As a Vehicle Build Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on assembly and final build of my client’s iconic vehicles. Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be involved in all aspects of vehicle assembly, from trim and mechanical assembly to profiling, panel alignment, and interior trim fitting. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive vehicle preparation, assembly, and build, including trim and final assembly phases. Execute both mechanical and electrical assembly tasks with precision. Assemble components and sub-assemblies, building essential vehicle parts and systems from scratch. Complete whole vehicle builds using a bay-build discipline, ensuring consistent quality and assembly standards. Conduct profiling, panel alignment, and gapping to meet exacting standards of vehicle fit and finish. Install part and full interior trim packages, enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic and functional appeal. Identify and log any build issues, suggesting improvements for engineering and production teams. Interpret engineering drawings accurately to guide assembly and ensure quality control. Utilise a variety of handheld tools for assembly work and ensure the handling of precision components. Apply fabrication and welding skills, if experienced, for specialised build tasks. Requirements: Proven experience in vehicle build, assembly, or a similar hands-on technical role. Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and working with precision components. Proficiency with handheld tools and assembly techniques for automotive builds. Attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and commitment to quality. Ability to work within a dynamic, scaling production environment
