Palatine Operations Team Leader
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £35,235 - £38,626 per annum

The Role

The company is part of the commercial arm of the Council and produces quality mattresses. They are growing and have contracts covering the whole of the UK, supplying the MOD, Hotels, Care Homes, and Student Accommodation. They also work in partnership with the Furniture Service. You will be managing all operational aspects of a busy factory including the production line, supporting and reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager.
The Person
1. Their customers are at the forefront of their business. They need individuals who care about delivering excellent customer service. You will have experience of managing in manufacturing, preferably in the bedding sector.
2. You should have the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with a variety of skill level employees.
3. The company is a supported business employing a diverse range of people, so they are looking for someone who can develop and train employees who may need extra support.
4. You must be able to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities; a flexible approach is a prerequisite.
5. Your positive attitude will motivate and influence the team to fully meet KPIs & Deadlines.
6. You will have experience in creating SSOW and Risk Assessments, and have strong flexible communication skills adapting to the needs of a diverse workforce who may not always have access to normal channels of communications.
7. You will be expected to deliver training, so past experience and qualifications would be an advantage, as would past experience of managing buildings, contractors, and stakeholders.
