We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll / Accounts Assistant working a flexible 25 to 30 hours per week to join our clients’ expanding team, manufacturing for the automotive, utilities and food industries. Based across two sites close to the M1 motorway in Sheffield.

About the role
Due to continued growth and expansion plans, our clients are offering an opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join their team. Duties include to:
1. Maintain accurate accounting records and report these accordingly
2. Process and report accurate weekly payroll for the group
3. Contribute to the smooth operation of the accounts office procedures
4. Provide general administrative support

About the responsibilities
In the role of Payroll & Accounts Assistant, key activities will be:
5. Process accurate weekly payroll information
6. Ensure all payroll is reported accurately meeting relevant deadlines
7. Process payroll year end
8. Administrative HR tasks
9. Checking & recording working hours/holidays/absences
10. Sales and Purchase invoice processing
11. Creditor and debtor management inc. credit control
12. Credit card reconciliations
13. Assist with preparing the VAT return
14. Assist with preparing the monthly management accounts
15. Bank reconciliations
16. Assist with producing cashflow forecasts
17. Provide administrative support to sales team and managers
18. Accounting and KPI reporting
19. Other duties according to the needs of the business & individual skills
About You
As a Payroll & Accounts Assistant you must have / be:
20. Experienced in Payroll Processing (ideally using Sage Payroll)
21. From an Accounts or bookkeeping background
22. Able to produce work of a high standard within excellent attention to detail
23. A good attendance and timekeeping record
24. Experience of Accounting Packages (Sage or Xero would be advantageous)
About the rewards
As a Payroll & Accounts Assistant you will work a flexible 25-30 Hours per week (with extra to cover holidays). There is a salary on offer of £13.00 to £15.00 per hour (circa £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, pro rata) dependent upon experience.
