The Regulatory Compliance team is made up of litigators and non-contentious lawyers who guide their clients (in particular a range of schools, colleges, universities, charities and healthcare providers) through the regulatory challenges that they face.
Many of their clients are nationally renowned providers and much of our work is driven by legal and political developments in their key sectors, which makes for a constantly evolving and dynamic practice.
If you're an experienced Education lawyer, most likely at associate or senior associate level, with a strong understanding of the AMS sector, then this could be for you.
With broad expertise in contentious and non- contentious work, you'll be experienced in advising MATS and SATs and local authorities on Education law issues.
Typical caseload includes: • complaints against AMS clients to regulators • formal internal complaints procedures • Equality Act discrimination claims • student discipline hearings • investigations • safeguarding • health and safety • SEN and disability • admissions appeals • serious incident reporting • educational negligence claims • and, judicial reviews.
The work is also likely to involve critical incident management so some experience in this area would be helpful.
Whilst, ideally, you will have gained specific exposure to education law, our client recognises that everyone's career journey is different, so if you've found your expertise to date has been broader than you'd hoped, we'd still be interested to hear from you
- your enthusiasm and interest for this area of law is as important as your ability and experience.
