Material Controller
My client is a market leading distributor of products to manufacturing clients within the Defence, Automotive, Medical and Construction industries. Established for 30 years, they now employ over 180 staff worldwide and have a turnover of £200 million.
They serve the world's leading OEM and EMS companies with global product sourcing and traceability, electronic product design, logistics & supply-chain management as well as in-house anti-counterfeit testing and product obsolescence management.
This role is based in a clean and bright warehouse environment, where you will be working in a close-knit team.
Duties:
1. Follow SOPs for all material processes.
2. Ensure safe working practice for self and others.
3. Report any problems, system, procedural or practical to team leaders.
4. Inspect products in accordance with training to the best of your ability raising any concerns or questions as necessary.

1. You must be a great team player, collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a great team working atmosphere.
2. Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture.
3. Commercial awareness.
4. Customer service.
5. Organisation, prioritising and the ability to handle a varied workload.
6. A good knowledge of IT packages.
Desirable:
1. ERP knowledge - although this is trainable and not essential.
2. Warehouse experience.
3. Business systems and practice.
4. Knowledge of electronic components.
