The Y&J service offers a range of statutory and non-statutory interventions for young people experiencing difficulties that cannot be supported by universal services alone. About You To apply for this post, you must have: Qualification level required – NVQ Level 3 or above, AND significant experience working with children and families. Experience of understanding the issues faced by vulnerable children and families with complex needs – to include awareness of the differing needs of children and an understanding of youth justice issues. Knowledge and experience of case management with children & young people who pose a risk of harm to others – to include assessment and report writing and use of case management systems. Knowledge and experience of the importance of gathering child’s voice, contributing to assessments for out of court disposals. Evidence of developing, planning, and implementing creative and innovative interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of children & young people, whilst managing risk in the community. Demonstrable experience of forming positive working relationships with a variety of professional partners and working collaboratively to meet the identified needs of children and their families. To contribute to the protection of children from abuse in accordance with local and national safeguarding policies, procedures, and practice – to include comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle.
