We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Quality Assurance team as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Goods-In, and Logistics teams to monitor supplier/subcontractor compliance to specifications and contractual arrangements.
2. Driving supplier quality management in line with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, medical device, and CE directives.
3. Supporting and assuring responsive and effective problem resolution through containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness.
4. Implementing improvement plans to meet supplier quality and development metrics.
5. Working with suppliers involved in electronic assemblies, plastic formed parts, machined parts, and chemicals.
6. Collaborating with Procurement on supplier qualification, capability analysis, and quality management.
7. Participating in routine supplier qualification, specification and process change control, permits, and CAPA activities.
8. Supporting business continuity plans for purchased material security.
9. Proactively reviewing supplier risks and developing strategies for quality improvement at vendors and subcontractors.
10. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality initiatives, staying updated on industry trends, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
11. Performing other duties as required within the scope of the role.
What We're Looking For…
The candidate should have a degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline and experience working within a regulated Quality Management System environment. Experience in supplier qualification and performance monitoring is essential.
Additional requirements include:
* Knowledge of quality tools and techniques
* Willingness to travel locally and overseas
* Qualified lead auditor
* Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal, capable of interacting effectively across management levels and with diverse teams
* Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment is advantageous
* Experience with ERP systems, databases, and reporting software
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Team-oriented with a customer focus and a sense of urgency
* Ability to evaluate situations, identify options, and propose effective solutions efficiently
* Self-motivated with strong organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
