Hybrid working available Duties: Classroom teaching, tutorial work and associated outreach duties, residential, open and distance learning courses and student placements. All associated organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking and appropriate student welfare and academic counselling responsibilities. Act as a Personal Tutor to students as required and undertaking all of the associated duties including pastoral care support. Make a full contribution to the team approach to learning and teaching. Implement a student-centred negotiated learning programme in accordance with the College’s curriculum framework. Implement agreed induction procedures and processes for students. Ensure that students are informed of what is expected of them at every stage of their programme. Ensure that appropriate assignments, tasks and activities are regularly set and assessed and that feedback is given to students in ways that will allow them to develop and achieve progression. Skills/Experience: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all ages and levels. Ability to prioritise workload, demonstrate flexibility and meet deadlines within a busy environment. Good working knowledge of IT tools. Qualifications: Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths. Relevant degree and/or appropriate level professional qualifications. Level 4 qualification in relevant area of expertise (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe). Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe). Ideal Attributes: Open-minded to the cultures, views and experiences of others.
