Hours: Part-time, 10:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday Responsible to: Finance Director / Finance Controller Our client, a well-established professional services provider, is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Part Time Accounts Assistant to support their finance team. This part-time role is ideal for individuals with experience in accounts administration looking to balance professional responsibilities with a flexible working schedule. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of the Accounts Department by handling tasks such as: Purchase Ledger Control: Processing and maintaining supplier invoices and payments. Sales Ledger Control: Managing customer invoices and accounts. Expenses and Petty Cash Maintenance: Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. Cash Book Entries and Reconciliation: Recording daily transactions and performing bank reconciliations. General Accounts Cover: Providing essential support during staff holidays or absences. General Duties Additional responsibilities include: Making supplier payments and issuing refunds for expenses. Organising and maintaining filing systems to ensure efficient record-keeping. Skills and Experience Required To excel in this role, you will need: Previous experience in accounts administration or a similar role. A strong understanding of sales and purchase ledger processes. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
