Our client, a successful and modern accountancy practice, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their growing organisation. In this role, you will be working in a friendly and fast-paced environment delivering accurate and timely management information to a portfolio of clients.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

The ideal individual will have previously worked within a practice environment and have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and will work well in a small friendly team environment. The role is a hybrid opportunity, and you will be working 2 days from home and 3 in the office after a successful training period.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out month-end tasks including:
2. Reviewing the P&L account and investigating variances to budgets/expected balances
3. Reviewing the balance sheet to ensure control accounts are correctly reconciled
4. Entering month-end journals for prepayments, accruals, work in progress, and deferred income
5. Running monthly management reports to include financial statements and other required schedules e.g., headcount, capital expenditure, inventory levels
6. Producing cost centre reports and consolidated group accounts, where appropriate
7. Updating forecast models with month-end actual data
8. Assisting with annual budgeting for certain clients, loading budgets into management reporting application and accounting software
9. Preparing reports to support claims for government grant funding for research and development work
Qualifications: ACCA qualified / studying / QBE
