Our client supports refugees and migrants to integrate into the UK and lead self-sufficient and ambitious lives. They use a diverse team to provide tailored integration services and their mission goes beyond individual support to actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities.
They are now looking for a Support and Integration Officer to join them on a part-time, permanent basis, working 15 hours per week, across two days.

The Role
As a Support and Integration Officer, you will provide quality advice, guidance, and practical support to refugees and migrants to help them successfully integrate into life in the UK.
Working closely with individuals, you will assess their needs, create personalised support plans, and offer assistance in key areas such as housing, healthcare, education, employment, and social integration.
Additionally, you will:
1. Support clients with budgeting, building social networks, advocacy, and training
2. Make referrals to internal and external services
3. Organise and attend group trips to local places of interest for tenants
4. Build partnerships with external organisations to promote opportunities for refugees
5. Maintain accurate case files and records, ensuring effective case management
6. Attend team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve support services
7. Organise house meetings and visit tenants both in their homes and in the community
About You
To be considered as a Support and Integration Officer, you will need:
1. Experience working with asylum seekers or refugees
2. Experience providing advice, guidance, advocacy, and culturally sensitive support
3. Experience conducting needs assessments and creating support plans
4. Knowledge of safeguarding principles when working with vulnerable adults
5. A commitment to equality, diversity, and refugee integration
6. Capability to support individuals with complex or multiple support needs
7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
8. Excellent organisational and planning skills
9. Ability to effectively manage caseloads and maintain records
10. IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
A social work qualification, degree in a related field, or trained to OISC Level One would be advantageous, but is not essential.
