Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Location: Hybrid/Remote, with regular attendance at Ohana Mua HQ
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Role Overview:
The CTO will lead Ohana Mua’s technology vision, focusing on pioneering AI capabilities and innovative Web3 blockchain solutions to transform our customer experience and operational processes. This role is ideal for a technology leader passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI and blockchain to revolutionise the holiday park and staycation sector. The CTO will work closely with the executive team to shape the company’s technological landscape and ensure the seamless integration of new technologies into our offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
1.AI and Automation Strategy
•Design and lead the AI roadmap to enhance the customer experience, focusing on fully automating and AI-enabling the customer journey.
•Leverage AI to optimise operations, from booking and guest engagement to feedback and customer support.
•Identify emerging AI tools and solutions that align with our brand and implement them to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and create memorable experiences.
2.Web3 and Blockchain Innovation
•Oversee the development of a Web3-native blockchain solution to manage all aspects of park ownership, including guest interactions, financial transactions, and operational processes.
•Design a decentralised solution that minimises intermediary use in the system architecture, making it efficient and scalable.
•Research and integrate blockchain applications that can provide transparency, security, and efficiency across our park operations and ownership models.
3.Technology Strategy and Leadership
•Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with Ohana Mua’s mission, vision, and growth objectives.
•Act as the primary decision-maker on all technology-related matters, from software development and systems architecture to data security and compliance.
•Stay updated on trends in AI, Web3, and emerging tech, ensuring Ohana remains an industry leader in tech innovation.
4.Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Work closely with the COO, CCO, and CFO to ensure technology efforts align with operational, customer, and financial goals.
•Partner with the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) to create seamless, automated, and personalised guest experiences.
•Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to enable data-driven insights and personalised engagement with customers.
5.Innovation and Continuous Improvement
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, learning, and adaptation within the technology team.
•Lead initiatives for pilot projects and technology proof-of-concepts that can scale and provide significant value to the organisation.
•Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors, research institutions, and other partners to stay at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements:
•Experience: 10+ years in technology leadership roles, ideally with a background in AI, Web3, blockchain, or related fields.
•AI Expertise: Proven track record of implementing AI-driven solutions, particularly in customer experience, automation, or operational optimisation.
•Blockchain and Web3 Knowledge: Experience with blockchain technology and Web3 frameworks, with a strong understanding of decentralised applications and smart contracts.
•Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
•Strategic Vision: Ability to align technology strategy with business goals and drive initiatives that position Ohana as a technology leader in the industry.
•Collaboration: Proven capability to work cross-functionally, ensuring technology enhances all aspects of the business.
•Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
