Behaviour Mentor – Primary School Location: Caerphilly Full-Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Hourly Rate: £12.90 per hour Start Date: ASAP Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant primary school in Caerphilly. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students manage challenging behaviours and supporting their emotional and social development. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with both individual students and groups, implementing strategies that foster a positive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Support students in developing effective coping strategies for managing their behaviour. Provide one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions to students with behavioural challenges. Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and external professionals to create and implement personalised behaviour intervention plans. Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to ensure continued development. Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students. The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians. Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing difficult situations. Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies. A genuine passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of children.
