Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a Children’s Home dedicated to supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) in Lancashire. As the Registered Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that children receive the care and support they need in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, leading and managing a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
* Person-Centered Care: Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the needs of children and young people with EBD.
* Team Development: Provide strong leadership and management to the care team, ensuring staff are trained and supported to provide therapeutic and emotionally supportive care.
* Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Care Standards Act. Safeguard children and promote their emotional and physical welfare.
* Behavior Management: Apply effective behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and help children and young people with EBD cope with their emotions and challenges.
* Collaborative Working: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with social workers, families, and external agencies to coordinate care and provide the best outcomes for the children.
* Reporting & Monitoring: Maintain accurate records and case documentation, prepare reports, and ensure the home meets all regulatory standards.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Proven experience managing a children’s home or similar setting, with expertise in working with young people who have Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD).
* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding requirements.
* Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
* Behavioral Expertise: Experience in managing challenging behavior and implementing effective behavior management plans for children with EBD.
