What is the role?
Procurement Officer
Salary: Scale 5, starting at £29,109 per annum
Location: Workplace will be Strategic Headquarters, Eastleigh, with the possibility of hybrid working
Hours: 37 per week on a flexitime working arrangement
Closing date: Sunday 6th April 2025 at 23:59 hours
What can you bring to the role?
Effective procurement relies on challenging, establishing and maintaining a good knowledge of the organisation’s current and future requirements by being an excellent communicator both verbally and via email and have the ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments within and outside the organisation. You are expected to be able to take on basic tasks independently (after training) and have some IT experience to aid in maintaining systems.
We ask that you are keen to expand your knowledge and development with duties that include:
• Engagement with stakeholders to understand project requirements. Both sourcing and commercial.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and maintaining awareness of statutory requirements.
• Support the application of processes and frameworks.
• Sourcing activities with relation to data gathering, strategic analysis, tendering and contract award among others.
• To build rapport and maintain relationships with other departments
You are educated to QCF Level 3 and have sufficient experience working within an office environment and specific customer service experience will be of benefit to the successful candidate.
You need to hold a full UK Driving Licence at time of application, due to occasional attending of other sites that may not be easily accessible on public transport.
