About the role: In this role you’ll be working as part of the Industry Frameworks and Supply Chain Compliance team and you’ll report to a Compliance Manager. The purpose of the team is to establish, implement, maintain (and continuously improve) effective compliance programmes to ensure: our fibre and pellet sourcing, supply and consumption activities meets regulatory requirements we comply with all obligations under the renewable support and security of supply frameworks for all Drax Group assets (including Renewables Obligation, Contract for Difference and Capacity Market schemes in the UK), and are able to evidence compliance, e.g. through appropriate biomass certification schemes; and our processes, controls and reporting/verification frameworks are robust and resilient This role will be a very busy and varied role and not your usual ‘administration’ type position. There’s lots to be involved in and learn on the job with this unique opportunity. Full training will be given. As an efficient data handler, you’ll support the team with a busy and varied workload of data processing, reporting and verification in relation to a number of complex and different frameworks and mechanisms. This will include – Generation settlement/metered data Fuel measurement and sampling data Sustainability due diligence data including greenhouse gas calculations for the Group Biomass sustainability certification evidence Supplier sustainability data You’ll help to ensure the smooth running of the team by tracking due diligence documents, biomass certification claims, liaising with many other key stakeholders within Drax, including the fuel buying team, international Sustainability teams, Operational Support and Finance. You will also liaise with suppliers of biomass across the world. You’ll be responsible for managing administration for a number of workstreams to a number of timetables, ensuring timing is met, things are chased up, and there is a clear audit trail. Who we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you’ll need to be prepared to work in a fast paced administration role and have extremely strong IT skills, especially in excel. You’ll be working with numerous complex IT systems and regulatory reporting templates/platforms. You’ll also need to be able to demonstrate a proactive approach, manage your workload effectively and identify improvements to current processes and look for opportunities for continuous improvement. You’ll have the ability to influence, make decisions and handle difficult situations where appropriate.
