The resuscitation service supports the recognition and effective response to deteriorating patients of all ages. We do this through clinical, operational, educational and governance activity throughout the Trust.
We have a vacancy for an experienced, skilled and enthusiastic health professional with demonstrable involvement and interest in resuscitation practice, education and/or the care of deteriorating patients.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Values Based Interview (VBI) which will take place on Teams.
Candidates who go forward from the VBI will be invited to attend a presentation and technical interview. Candidates will be invited to give a 10-minute presentation to the interview panel. Candidates will be informed of the topic for presentation if shortlisted.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is part of the Resuscitation Practitioner team and will work in collaboration with fellow practitioners and the senior team to ensure a high-quality Trust wide service. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of a Trust site supported by the Senior Resuscitation Practitioner.
The post holder will be responsible for key elements of service provision, in particular the delivery of high-quality clinical care and delivery of resuscitation education.
The post holder will provide a highly visible and professional presence, supporting the management of emergency events, debriefing and learning from resuscitation related incidents. The post holder will have direct managerial responsibility over a member of the Resuscitation Assistant Practitioner team on one site and will support the development of this group.
Person specification
Essential and Desirable
* Experience in an acute care setting
* Evidence of experience in a supervisory role
* Evidence of teaching experience/ providing training in some aspect of acute care
* Ability to deliver resuscitation at an immediate life support level (ILS, PILS, NILS)
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Current instructor at Immediate Life Support or Advance Life Support
* Ability to deliver resuscitation training to various staff groups
* Evidence of role modelling Trust values
