Job Description for Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias
This position is a permanent opportunity with an attractive salary to work as a Maintenance Engineer – with an electrical bias for a major manufacturer of bearings in the aerospace and automotive industry.
The company offers a competitive compensation package, including shift premium for working double day shifts rotating between 05:50-14:00 and 13:50 – 22:00 Monday to Thursday, and 05:50-11:20 and 11:10-16:40 on Fridays.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform Preventative Maintenance according to schedules.
* Resolve equipment breakdowns promptly.
* Fault find to identify the cause of failures.
* Source and procure necessary spares.
* Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks efficiently.
* Test and inspect electrical installations to ensure safety and quality standards.
* Communicate effectively with operators, managers, engineers, and contractors.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and drive new ways of working and good practices.
* Support supplier and subcontractor development, where applicable.
* Maintain operations in accordance with the Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality Policies, and adhere to the Quality Management System.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Apprenticeships or industry recognized qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ's, BTEC, HNC, HND etc.
* Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment.
* Understanding of good maintenance and engineering practices.
* Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems.
* Strong Mechatronics skills.
* Good grasp of Preventative Maintenance principles/methodologies.
* Able to work independently and use initiative when required.
* Flexible to work overtime and support a small team.
